“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him.” Lamentations 3:22-24 (KJV)

It would be good to remember Hebrews 12:29, as we think of these verses from Lamentations of Jeremiah the prophet.

You and I experience the mercy of the LORD each day we live.  His mercies do not fail.  They are new every morning; because the LORD is faithful.

Though we have sinned, He still loves – “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). The holy died for the unholy.  The uncursed was cursed for you and me.  That is grace.

The very truth that we are sinners, and God does not destroy us is His mercy.  Yet, He gave us the gift of His Son.  Call on the name of Jesus and be saved today.
