Praying for You

“We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.” 1 Thessalonians 1:2-4 (KJV)

The apostle Paul prayed for the people and the churches of his ministry.  He prayed for the Church of Thessalonica, and was appreciative of what he had heard of their faith, their faithfulness to what he had taught them from God’s word, and their stedfastness as well.

He could note their changed lives from the fruit that they bore.

When one has been elected by God there is a change which comes from it (2 Corinthians 5:17); and our desires in this world change; they change from a self aggrandizing way of life to a Christ honoring, humble, meek, loving, way of life; and strong in faith; trusting God and His word; rather than the words of men.

The apostle noted and noticed that in these people.  Is is noted in you and/or me?
