“And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: so that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.” 1 Thessalonians 1:6-7 (KJV)

Everyone needs an example to follow. Everyone [Belilevers in particular] needs to be an example to others. As Paul, Silas and Timothy were following the Lord so was the Thessalonian Church. Even in the midst of affliction [persecution], they were living in the joy of God’s Spirit, and word had reached Paul that these people were having and impact in the lives of people around them; even reaching outside the area.

May we Christians of 2016, and beyond be like examples of the power and glory of Christ in the world which we live.
