Job had friends who cared for him when they first saw him, when they first came and saw him from a distance. They sat with him in silence, grieving with him for seven days and nights. They should have just went back to their homes.
Now Job feels that his friends are scorning him, accusing him of unrighteous acts and deeds. God has called Job “Righteous” when Satan came before God.
Now hear the words of Job from our daily reading of Job 13 through 16.
My face is foul with weeping, and on my eyelids is the shadow of death; not for any injustice in mine hands: also my prayer is pure.
O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no place. Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high.
My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto God. O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour! When a few years are come, then I shall go the way whence I shall not return.
Job 16:16-22
Before we speak of a persons health condition, or tragedy or catastrophe experienced we better take a look, and express compassion rather than accusation.
Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, and rose from the grave alive for the sick, diseased, depressed and the unrighteous, and all one needs do to receive cleansing, healing, and forgiveness is ask Him and He will.
