“For ye shall pass over Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God giveth you, and ye shall possess it, and dwell therein. And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.” Deuteronomy 11:31-32 (KJB)

“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not coat also. Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask not again.
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? For sinners also love those that love them. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? For sinners also do even the same. And if ye lend of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? For sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for He is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.” Luke 6:27-36 (KJB)
“In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, ‘Ask! What I shall give thee?'” 2 Chronicles 1:7 (KJB)
How would you respond?
The name “God” in the above verse is the plurality of God, meaning the whole of the Godhead – Father, Son, and Spirit came to Solomon to ask him, the king of Jerusalem this question.
Some may think, “Well God was giving favors to a king.” He is giving favors to one of His children. He gives this favor to all His children today.
It was Jesus who said,
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8
Solomon’s request was for wisdom and knowledge in the rule of God’s people. He did not ask for power, or great wealth, but for the wisdom and knowledge that would bring glory to God.
O that we as the people of God would be faithful in our praying, our prayers, to ask for the glory of God in our lives. I ask to grow into the image of my Lord and Savior, to be a faithful witness of His love, mercy, and grace through my life. my actions, and my words.
When you have been born again through faith in Jesus Christ, and His finished work on the cross, then you have access to the very throne room of God Almighty (Hebrews 4:14-16).
God has appeared to you today. He has asked you the question; “What shall I give you?”
“And He said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.” Mark 4:24-25 (KJV)
