“And He said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever. No more shall the house of Israel defile My holy name, they nor their kings, by their harlotry or with the carcasses of their kings on their high places. When they set their threshold by My threshold, and their doorpost by My doorpost, with a wall between them and Me, they defiled My holy name by the abominations which they committed; therefore I have consumed them in My anger. Now let them put their harlotry and the carcasses of their kings far away from Me, and I will dwell in their midst forever.” Ezekiel 43:7-9 (NKJV)
The Lord GOD desires to dwell in the midst of His people. That was so with Adam and Eve. It was so of Enoch, Methuselah and Abraham. It was true of Moses, and all those who walked with Him.
When there is evil in the hearts of men God cannot dwell with us. He has made a way, and that is through the offering of His own dear Son Jesus Christ on the cross.
Because of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and our calling on His name believing He sends His Spirit to live within us. That is God dwelling in us. God dwelling in our midst.
God will receive you just as you are; but He loves you too much to leave you the way you are, and by His Spirit will convict, and correct you by His Spirit and His Word performing His word and work in you.
Call on His name today, and be redeemed.
