“But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.” Matthew 10:19-20 (NKJV)
Jesus was speaking of the disciples persecution that would follow their faithful witness after His death, burial and resurrection. Of course those words are meant for all of Christ disciples from that day to this.
How can that happen? You first must have that person of the Spirit of the Father in you; and you must have your heart, and mind full of His Word, and walking in it.
If you want to be able to stand when you are on trial for your faith in Christ Jesus, then you need to be a student of Jesus and His word. It must be a daily event, a daily experience; a daily meal where you devour the word of God and let it work in you, through you and work its way out.
Be faithful. The above verses are Some of the Most Powerful Words You Will Ever Hear, because you need not fear what lies ahead when you are faithful to the study of God’s word, and applying it to your life.
Some of the benefits of the Word of God in your life can be read in Psalm 119.
