Have you ever felt as though your family and friends had turned against you? That you were all alone in your torment, pain, suffering, and grief? I would imagine that most of us have; and that if you have not yet; you will. If you have not experienced this pain you are one in a very few.
Job was a man who experienced these things following the tragedies of his life. He had gone from great wealth to poverty practically overnight. He had lost his children, the support of his wife, and his health as well as his wealth. Now his friends belittled, badgered, accused, and attacked his morality, which had been without fault before.
Even though he had listened, had heard the words of his friends, Job now turns to the Lord. You can hear his faith in these words…
“Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high.” Job 16:19 (KJB)
“Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and he who testifies for me is on high.” Job 16:19 (ESV)
When you live for God, know God as Job did there is no accusation that can stand against the witness of heaven. God has declared to Satan himself…
“Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” Job 1:8 (NKJV)
Job does not know about the scene which took place in heaven, but he knows his condition before God. He rest also in the witness of heaven in his behalf.
So can all who have placed their faith and trust in the Living God through the One who bled and died for our sins. He is the crucified, buried, and resurrected Son of God, God the Son. The witness in heaven is Jesus Christ Son of God.
