“This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD. For He hath looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth; to hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death; to declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and His praise in Jerusalem; when the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.” Psalm 102:18-22 (KJB)
The Psalmist speaks of the day when all the people of all the earth, and the kingdoms of the earth will all come together to worship the One true and living God. His name is Jehovah, in the person of His Son Jesus who bled and died on the cross to redeem us from our sins, He was buried, and He rose again. He will soon return and set up His Kingdom on earth.
The Psalmist speaks of it in the above verses. Isaiah the prophet speaks of Him coming,
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD…” Isaiah 61:1-2a
Then, Jesus comes to the synagogue on the sabbath day to worship, stands and reads Isaiah’s prophecy,
“And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto Him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written, ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.’” Luke 4:16-19
The following verses of Luke’s gospel says that He closed the book, sat down, and all the eyes of the people were on Him, and He said,
“This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.” Luke 4:21
There will be peace on earth. That peace will come when Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace comes again. Believe Him.
