We first must realize that GOD is holy, righteous, and just. There is no evil in Him, neither can He do evil. He is our creator. He has made all that is, and by Him all things consist (Colossians 1:17). He holds all things together. If He did not do so the Universe would fly apart, and there would be no more creation.
I will not be trying to explain God’s anger for our understanding; but I do want us to understand that one day understanding will come to those who believe, trust, and know the LORD God.
Hear the prophet Jeremiah…
“The anger of the LORD shall not return, until He have executed, and till He have performed the thoughts of His heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.” Jeremiah 23:20
If you will, notice that the LORD’S anger will not cease until He has fulfilled what He said He will do. If God does not complete His judgment of sin, then there is not much of a promise for us to rely on concerning those promises which are good.
When the hearts of God’s people are perfected in God’s way; and that is through the cross of Jesus Christ His Son; then His people will understand why God is angry about sin, our sin, and the sin of the world. We must also remember, always, that He has a great love for us. He loved us so very much that He gave us His only begotten Son; who knew no sin, neither was there any guile or deception in Him; and He laid down His life for our sins, our transgressions, and died to redeem us unto the God of Holiness, Righteousness, Light, and Life.
In the meantime, we are not called to understand. We are called to trust and believe Him
