I was reading from Zechariah 4 – 9 this morning and these verses were for my eyes and ears.  How many more need to hear these words?

“For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked Me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not: so again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.

These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: and let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.” Zechariah 8:14-17 (KJB)

As I thought on these verses a few more came to mind, especially the words of our Lord Jesus;

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
” Matthew 22:37-40 (KJB)

If you have not heard the word of the LORD yet on how we/you ought to live, then here is some more…

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” Micah 6:8

And we can also remember the Ten Commandments.  The first four deal with how we relate to God; the last six deal with how we relate to our fellow man; our neighbor.

Do you know Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God? He desires to know you.  Come to Him.  He changes the heart and mind for His will and His glory.
