Who Are You? John 1:19-28

John 1:19-28 deals with the question put to John the Baptist who was asked the question, “Who are you?” in verse 19. The question was asked him by priests and Levites who had come out to see and hear him

THE QUESTION – “Who are you?”  (vv. 19-20)

JOHN’S ANSWER –  “I am not the Christ/Messiah” He answered later by saying, “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah.”

THE ONE THE QUESTION ASKERS DID NOT KNOW –  That is the One who is the Messiah, and the One whom the Baptist served.

WHO ARE YOU? –  Asking this of myself, and you in our personal relationship with  Jesus Christ. Can I along with the Baptist allow Jesus to be my sole purpose for living, for preaching, for being a witness of His power and glory?
