…Heaven Opened…

Revelation 19:11-16

1.  Many years ago “Heaven Opened” for the majesty of God in flesh to be revealed to the world.
2.  That first coming was as a harmless little babe in a manger, but His appearance threatened so many (Matthew 2:1-12).
3.  Being dispised and rejected by men; He was accepted by the Father; and was the offering for our sin.
4.  This offering for our sin was resurrected to live again for all eternity; and left with the promise “I will come again, and receive you unto Myself”.

I.  WE SEE IN THE FINAL BOOK THAT HEAVEN IS OPENED AGAIN, AND JESUS, THE SON OF GOD IS SEEN RIDING ON A WHITE HORSE (v. 11).

II.  WE SEE JESUS AS THE FINAL AND FULL REVELATION OF GOD (vv. 12-13).

III.  THE FRUITS OF OUR LORD’S LABORS ARE WITH HIM WHEN HEAVEN OPENS (v. 14).

IV.  WHEN HEAVEN IS REVEALED TO EARTH THERE WILL BE JUDGMENT OF THE NATIONS WHO HAVE HATED HIM AND HIS PEOPLE (vv. 15-16).

Application –

i.  Just as there was joy among some at the first coming of Jesus in a manger; there will also be joy among some who will see “Heaven Opened” once more at His second coming.
ii.  Though it will be a time of “change” unlike any time in the history of man; it will be joyous to many; but bitter to many more.
iii.  When Jesus comes again will you be ready; get ready today by placing your faith and trust in the one who died on the cross for your sins, was buried – carrying your sins away; and was raised to life again giving eternal life to all who will call on His name.
