“Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, ‘Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.” Mark 5:19-20 (KJV)
Someone once said, “Evangelism is nothing more than one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread.” That is a pretty good thought.
The man of our verses above was one who had been delivered from demonic bondage. Jesus sent him home to tell his family, friends and neighbors about what great things Jesus had done for him, and he did.
He had been a crazed, demon dominated man who had no self control. Christ Jesus had cast the demons into a herd of swine, and delivered the man.
There is deliverance from anything that holds you through faith in Christ, and His death, burial and resurrection. Believe Jesus.
