The One Who Holds the Universe Together

“…Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him…” Colossians 1:15-16 (KJV)

The Apostle Paul is writing to the Church at Colossae, and the letter is also going to Laodicea concerning some religious teachers who are creeping in telling the people they need more than Jesus Christ.

Jesus is all they needed.  He is all I need.  He is the ALL of the Church of 2016 and beyond.  The Holy Spirit is Christ in you.

The One who is the “Image of the invisible God” is speaking of no other but Jesus Christ.  You can see more for understanding that in Hebrews 1:1-3.  Jesus is the “Exact representation” of God.  When you look at Jesus you are looking at God.

Philip came to Jesus and said, “Show us the Father”.  Jesus said, “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father” (John 14:8-9).

By the hands of Jesus were all things that exist created.  By Him all things consist.  The word “Consist” means since they were made by Him, and for Him; it is He who holds them all together.  Every planet, every star, the moon of earth, and all the celestial bodies are held in their respective orbits by the hand of their Creator, who is Jesus the Christ Son of the Living God, God the Living Son.

Think of this for a moment.  Should the Creator remove His hands from this creation it would all fly apart.  You and are ones He has made all  these things to bless us, hold us, keep us in His hands.  If you are not willfully in His hands your life will fly apart.  Maybe it already has began.

Place your life in the hands of the One who died for your sins.  Believe Him and live.  Believe Jesus died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead.
