“Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?
Out of the mouth of the Most High proceedeth not evil and good?
Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.
Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.” Lamentations 3:37-42 (KJB)
When God speaks things happen. The good from His mercy. Sometimes disciplined wrath for the good of His people.
Nothing happens for the child of God that does not have His superintending hand upon it. Let us who know God, and are known by Him through the faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross, His burial, and resurrection rest in His assurance of working all things out for His glory, and for our good.
A verse that has been in my heart and mind for the past two days has been from Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount…
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Matthew 6:33-34
