My reading for today (September 09, 2018) was Ezekiel 41 – 43.
The Law of the Temple
“Thou son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern. And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them. This is the law of the house; Upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.” Ezekiel 43:10-12 (KJV)
The chapters of Ezekiel 40-48 are Ezekiel’s vision given by God for the house of Israel, not the Church.
The following is the note for verses 10 and 11 of Ezekiel 43 from THE JEREMIAH STUDY BIBLE:
The whole millennial temple is designed to broadcast the holiness and grandeur of God; it is built on a grand scale to impress those who see it and use it that they serve and worship a God who is far greater than any enticement to sin. The structure itself is designed to help remember the past but also to glory in God and in the good present He has brought about (27:26-28; Joel 3:17).
Blessed be the name of the LORD who is glorious in all His ways.
