A Warning of Turning Away from the Truth – 1 Timothy 4:1-5

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.” 1 Timothy 4:1-5  (KJB)

There is a word for this; it is “apostasy”.

“Apostasy” is a departure, falling away, and in our case it has to do with “the faith”.
There is today, a departure from the truths of the Christian faith. The doctrines of our faith are being forsaken by many church leaders and their churches. The doctrines of the Christian faith are doctrines of Scripture which God has given for “reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
Where Scriptures are denied, false doctrines set in, and Jesus Christ is rejected as God come in the flesh, His power is denied, and is powerless as a savior.

The false teachings of Christ are powerless, and make Jesus out to be a liar.
